Default Ferman Acura

Has anyone taken their car to Ferman Acura to have work done on their transmission? My friend took in his Integra LS for some work on his transmission and they screwed him over. I don't want to judge it off just ONE person. I want to see what the census is on the place. I want to know what others have experienced. I've only had to take my car there once and they took good care of me, but it was for something simple. I'm kinda scared to take it there if they have a bad rep. Don't want them to be working on something as big as my transmission. Any thoughts?

Thanx

Well, it's all warrenty work so I won't be paying for anything. My only concern is that I don't want to take it there and then have them mess with my transmission more then they need to. That's what happened with my friend. He had to go back and forth a couple of times because they didn't do it right the first time. I don't want to go through that kind of ish. But maybe his problem was a once in a while thing. I just wanted to know what other's have experienced.

Tranny's are just Hard as Hell to work on. So many people think you can just "open them up" and replace the bad part....but that's not true. The Tranny has to be clearance checked in so many different ways....and if anybody's gonna do it, it would be the dealership.

The simple way to do this is take it to the dealership. If you aren't happy with there repair, take it back. If it has to go for a third time, DEMAND a new transmission.

Demand a new transmission?? Hmmm...good idea! Well, I guess I'll take it in and see what kind of results I get and if by the 3rd time it isn't right, I'll do like you said. Thanx bro!

I have taken my teg there for required maintenance checks and an oil leak but not for transmission problems. So far everything is working great.

Well, there is a TSB out for it. It's just not wide spread yet I guess. I just found out about it online, so I was going to go to Ferman to see if they have gotten it yet so that I could get mines fixed. If they don't, then I'll print it out and show it to them so they can fix it. If you need a copy of it, I can email it to ya. And it's not necessarily a grind with the gears. It's a grind more with the syncros in the new transmission. The RSX uses triple cone sycros which is something new for the Integra/RSX line I guess , maybe not, but that is what you feel when you shift, is that the syncros aren't working properly. So I guess with the TSB, they have a new designed syncro and sleeve set that they put in that is "suppose" to fix it, but I don't know yet. I'll let ya know.

Thanx for all the help guys. So I should ask for Scott for repairs? Is he a mechanic or a service manager? Cuz I didn't know mechanics delt with prices too
