What up guys. Ok this may sound like a stupid one, but I need a second opinion. My boy has a d16y8 sohc vtec motor in his hatch. Motor idles great but when you rev up, you hear a tight knock that sounds like it is coming from Piston 2. I believe it sounds like a rod bearing. We know its definitely from the bottom end. If so, would you think it would be easier to repair the problem or would you just go ahead and replace the bottom end. Just looking for the best solution. Thanks and all help is appreciated

Hey I had something just like that happen to me but are you sure its comeing from the block?? CUz I went to check, I put it on a lift and it was my axle knocking cuz it was pretty much warped to hell!!
