rod bearings and arp's

Default rod bearings and arp's

i have a b20 and am going to put arp rod bolts in it and was wandering if it routine to replace the rod bearings and its a low milage motor probly around 50k on it

How do the rod bearings look? If they look good and clearance is good I don't see any reason to change them.

i always replace them, whenever the rods are pulled from any motor. especially if this is something your going to beat on.

When you have the ARPs installed the rods should be resized also. Changing the rod bearings and checking clearances is highly recommended.

^ with the ARP's they most likely won't need resizing. but DO check clearances, with a mic and not plasti-gauge. if they need to be resized then you'll need over sized bearings too.
