Need Advice
OK so i have these 2 peice headers that KEEP ON BLOWING out the Gaskets (u know them cheap wafer ones they have)1.
Q: I had my friend (that works at a a machine shop)make me a full gasket set out of Aluminum and its the same Thickness as the Shitty gaskets sent w/a catback system ,but solid so wont blow out (BAD IS THEY DONT FLEX) Nice job fit well havent tested u think its a good idea?
or i have to use something that sandwiches?
2.
Q: Can i just NOT run Gaskets on the On the 2 peice header but ONLY use the OEM copper gasket on the Header/Ex port if i have no leaks or will it mess or affect something wrong? im only wantin to eliminate the bottom 2 pre cat gaskets... NOT the ex port Gasket!!
3.
Q: Should i just weld the Damn Thing and Call it a day and when i need to work on that area to take the headers out imma be kickin myself in the ass??
Much help appreciated
THANKS TR

The gaskets shouldn't blow out. I have never had one blow out on me when the header is installed correctly and bolts torqued correctly. If you are THAT worried about it though, I have made them out of a sheet of copper before and spray copper sealant on both sides. That worked well. Copper is much easier compressed and better sealing than aluminum.
^like he said if your blowing out a gasket you need to have your exhuast checked..your exhuast does not build up pressure to blow out a gasket..start there b4 wasteing money on special made gaskets

^ as they said, check it out first make sure its free flowing. If everything checks out ok, buy the make your own gasket stuff from autozone, it comes in like a 20x11 sheet and is real nice, I used it on a turbo set up, worked out awesome, and cheap. GL
i used the Aluminum Gaskets my friend made for me and use 1 peice of the MrGasket sheet on (Both) sides to make a good seal W/O loosing the Gap..
i took pics ill get em up ASAP for people "IF" they have the same issue..
But THANKS EVERYONE ITS "FIXED" Till somethin else happens..lol. or i stay off the pedal wich i cant like a crackhead,,lol thanks guys!! off to break somethin else on her.. lol

i want to keep this thread open if thats cool till i post pics for people to see, maybe it can help the next person....then close it
