Default engine seized

well i was driving home from work and it was a crazy storm here in tampa,Fl...long story short i was going insanely slow through a puddle when suddenly my car just shut off and wouldnt turn back on...im thinking that my aem intake sucked up water and the engine is seized. Im just looking for any other advice that would be helpful. has this happened to anyone else? does insurance cover it if it still has full coverage on it? please help...thanks in advance..

I work at insurance and I have seen 1 hydrolock claim in my days here. It was a newer mercedes and the guy hydrolocked the motor, WE PAID FOR A NEW MOTOR AND INSTALL! I can't say it will be the same in your case though, depends on your coverage and company. good luck man

it would be claimed under comprehensive since you weren't actually involved in a collision. Your deductible will apply, most likely 500 or 1000. I'd go ahead and file a claim with your company and the best you can do is just wait to see if they will pay for it. They will NOT tell you yes it's covered or no it's not covered. They will tell you to file a claim and it will be looked at upon an individual basis. best of luck
