el oh el what? B16A2 is the exact same in every gear as the B16B and B18C5. B18CR uses the B16A2/B B18C5 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, then has the GSR 4th and 5th with a 4.785 final rather than 4.400. IMO for fun an cruising driveability B16A2 1-4 then B18B 5th gear. You can rip through gears and cruise. You can feel it on the CR when you go from the B16A2 gears to the GSR. You hit 4th and its like awwww man WTF happened? But once more mods are done it shouldnt be too bad. To me it seems the transmission is overlooked most of the time when looking for performance. You can make less power and have shorter gears whoopin on higher power with long ass gears. I like shorter gears for the fact that its more fun shifting and it takes less power to accelerate as fast.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
