NOOB clutch question
If the master or slave is leaking, then no..that mechanism only RELEASES the clutch..now if by some miracle it is sticking partially engaged, then yes it could cause a slip..check the arm that the slave pushes on. It should have a tiny bit of play in it at rest, just enough to jiggle it. If it is hard as a rock, then it could be holding the clutch slightly, but other than that its time for at least a new disk and pressure plate and a resurface.

sometimes it grinds. other times it doesnt. the clutch has some play from the pedal. and by some i mean like i can step on it like 2-3inches without nothing happening. i have bled my clutch and same crap. the clutch looked like it had a lot of meet left when i put it on.

I said look at the point where the slave pushes on the fork. Not the pedal, it has only very little to do with it. If the slave is not retracting as it should or something then youll have an issue there with the clutch slipping and it will burn up fast. All the other things you describe though sound like master/slave related issues.
