Default Anyone with a eg please come in...

My headlights arent going on and i pulled off my steering column cover to find a randon wire hanging from the connector that plugs into the head light switch. its a red wire and looks like it was put in to replace something. I think this may be causing it.

If anyone can call me and just help me trace what wire supposed to be there, that would be awesome.

Thanx
Chris

my headlights would do this and it turned out the connection inside the switch failed and we had to replace the whole unit

i looked at the wiring diagram and i don't see a red wire for the light combination switch but the dial to adjust the brightness of the dash has a red wire and why anyone would have run it to there is questionable.

then again that might not be it but i really didn't see any other red wires in the diagram. everything else red was striped.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
