the title states the problem, lol. even with the key is out of the ignition and im in the car it trys to lock itself a few times automatically, it doesnt bother me much but i dont want to get my keys locked in it one day. lol help?

 

You most likely have an aftermarket alarm installed in there that is programmed to do that. Only way around that is to unprogram than from the brain of the alarm or remove the alarm.

 

any chance the wires there in the jam have been cut and taped? could be shorting out there.
