I don't think that would be smart...I'm not 100% correct but I know header wrap can rust the header when it gets wet and sits on the metal too long...so I'm going to say no on this one.

On a side note, would it be smart to ceramic coat/high temp paint the header BEFORE putting header wrap on?

Posibly ceramic coat, but idk about high temp paint. I either is better then none if the wrap is going to collect moisture (and it will). We coated a header once with high temp paint and wrap WITHOUT getting it wet, but even with good prep the wrap took paint off in some areas.

I could understand getting the wrap wet when putting it on, might be easier to work with. Plus once drivin for a while it will burn off the water. Almost like breaking in a new pair of leather boots with water...

Well theres no way its going to get moist once the cars on... But advanced does sell a high temperature silicone you spray on to protect the heat wrap so im gonna buy that a spray my turbo manifold and then heat wrap it and then pray it again over that... but i heard that ceramic coating and ceramic headers should NOT be heat wrapped because they will crack...

i know you are a builder and all, but you are supposed to wet it so the wrap molds perfectcly into your header.

also need a clamp or some shit like it, to tie it to the bottom of the header (under oil pan).

make sure your clamp aint too big, cuz if it is it will scrape on bumps etc.
