Default HELP! :0) B20B Automatic in an EK

Hey guys...I'm trying to do a B20B automatic swap into my EK coupe...I'm not really sure what I need though...someone told me i need a tranny control unit, but then someone else told me i dont, so im kinda confused lol...and ive also heard that some people had problems fitting it...if anyone can give me any info i would really appreciate it lol...im ordering the motor and tranny from tigerjapanese, but i just need to know what else i am going to need...if you have any info, u can also text or call me @ 941.538.8493

If you order a obd1 auto b16a tranny they don't require a TCM and may be easier to wire in. Does the d series motor for an ek have a TCM? If not get the b16a auto tranny.

Tranny mounts will need to be a combo of stock and custom parts. I was going to do this for a customer a while ago but that fell through and have done auto eg swaps before.

How I would go about doing it:
- Use the stock crv/si drivers side engine mount bracket and skirt.
- Use the stock DC auto teg rear tranny bracket and re-drill the rear mount hole so that the motor sits straight. This had to be done on all b series swaps into ek's before the 99 si came out with a new rear T bracket. You could try the stock crv bracket but I think it may not fit due to the AWD crv tranny mounting different.
- You may need to cut a section of the passenger side frame rail to clear the tranny, box what you cut out back in with min. 1/8" sheet steel. This had to be done on eg swaps. May be able to be done with a hammer also but cutting and welding works better IMO.
- I would first try to run the stock crv upper tranny mount and frame rail bracket. If that didn't fit I would fabricate a new frame rail bracket to fit that mount.
- Front tranny I would try the stock crv bracket and stock chassis mount. If that doesn't fit I would re-use the stock mount and fabricate a new mount bracket.

My 92 da is an OBDI car and it has a TCM. I also have the factory tranny mount TCM, and a b series auto tranny laying around...

converting to 5 speed is just a whole lot easier or buying a automatic integra ?sorry im no help
