No do not use rtv on the o-ring or vtec gasket. Only place to use RTV-Gray is a small dab on the corners of the oil pan and valve cover gasket.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

ok so i called brandon honda and they told me that the "o-ring" (THE PART THAT LOOKS LIKE A SNOWMAN LOCATED ABOVE V-TEC SOLENOID)is not replaceable on my year model only 01 and up. he advised me to make one (which i have no idea how) and i should go to a auto part store (like discount or autozone) and have them give me a gasket kit... please if there is anyone who has this o-ring part laying around or know how to make one professionally, please let me know ill pay you for it and maybe installation. PM ME, EMAIL JABOMBA22@AOL.COM OR CALL 813-531-0217...JAYE.

I looked and I don't have the piece.

1.I would go to a u-pull-it junkyard and carefully remove the piece.....sometimes you have to buy something else to get a hard to find part.

2.If it is a replaceable part for 01 and up, I would order one anyway (unless it costs a fortune) and see how close it is to fitting.

3.Next choice would be to do a racetrack repair
and make a connector. I have epoxied/gooped/glued/ultra-greyed/etc. pieces back together in an emergency. Have even made plastic parts sometimes, but it is hard to describe how I make something. It depends on the location, the circumstances, what the part looks like and I need to actually see something before a solution kicks in.

What part of town are you in? -Bob
