B-series all motor??
B-series all motor??
Aight I can get a B16a2 swap for cheap and Turbo as well, but I ike the sound of VTEC and was wondering what the best set up would be for all motor???
You can go with any number of allmotor parts, but if i was doin it, id probly go about it like this:
B18C1
Skunk2 i/m
Moderately aggressive cams (Toda A or B/ JUN 3/ Skunk stage 2)
Supporting valvetrain
Ported/polished head
~11.0:1 comp. +
Tuned Hondata
just my 2 cents

Add 50hp to N/A
If your looking to run N/A check out www.Gude.com. They can improve your hp by 50. If they don't have what your looking for check out JG. They are more for the all race and no daily driver. Lots of optioins.

thank you
Thanks everyone for ideas so taking a B16 with a CTR bottom end wouldnt be a good idea?? or an LS with an ITR/CTR bottom end then built up valvetrain??
If you like the sound of vtec, just get the b16a2 swap with the turbo. You'll still hear the vtec plus the sound of the turbo boosting.
If you want the reliability of NA (and want power), then get the biggest displacement block you can. The 1.6L isn't going to give you any torque. If you want to keep a vtec block, go with the gsr or type r (b18c, b18c5). Now, if you want cheaper power, then get a ls or crv block and put the b16 head on that.

stay oem as much as possible, i dont recomend running hondata on n/a aplication! start with 1.8 liter bottom end, dont fuss with 1.6 unless you like no tourqe, also if you do decide to stay 1.6, mill head and use jdm p30 pistons as in they are lighter and not much less compression then ctr pistons, also ctr slugs will cut things close with valve piston clearence if you decide to waste money on big cams! good luck, eric
Gude has good stuff, but there cams are regrinds which really sucks after a few thousand miles. But i have been in one sohc that had a head pkg and that was the fastest all motor sohc vtec i have ever been in
