Well ooookay. To reply to who ever it was that said I would never hit VTEC with the stock ECU.... That's why I need the VAFC if Im not upgrading to a ITR ecu, so I can have VTEC.... I get amazed when people don't read.
Also, Im not BS'ing with any of you, a few people know who I'm buying the LS engine from, the bottom end has to be rebuilt a bit. He's getting a newer car so he has no need for it. IF he get's the newer car that is.
Im simply inquiring here for help. Aparently Ive gone to the wrong place.
Your right however, I don't know wtf I'm doing with most of this stuff. Why else would I be asking about it?
Thanks.

Okay,
DO NOT try to run the setup with a vafc, it will run like shit. Get a vtec ecu, it will even be cheaper. I don't know what year car you have so if you have 88-91 get a pr3 or pwo (both b16a1 ecu's), 92-95 a chipped p28 will do nicely or a stock p30 or p72. If you are 96+ I'd still recommend you run the p28 w/ a jumper harness but any obd2 b-series vtec ecu will work if you match up the year right (96-98, 99-00). Running the ls ecu with the vafc even if it will activate vtec is not the right way to do it, if you are going to be spending money anyway do it right the first time.
If you are going to be buying the itr head off a blown motor get it checked out by a machine shop first.
Good Luck.

Jesus... I just re-read this from searching for a harness... wow... I really didn't know what I was talking about w/ the ECU idea. Hahaha...
BTW, the shop that had the head disapeared. The kid w/ the block never got his new car.
I've learned a lot since this post.
