i heard that you have to extend piping from the header to the cat. Is this true?

If this is true could i buy a gsr cat so that it will fit, instead of extending some piping or whatever?

Bleh. Just hit Auto-zone or Discount, pick up some some tubing with the right ID, pick up some muffler clamps, and then get to work. Simply cut the exhaust piping to fit and use the new tube to connect the joint and the clamps to hold it in place. It's a good fix and you can put off a muffler shop visit until you have the time or hell, don't even bother.

Cool, that doesn't sound to bad. I actually hit up Advanced auto parts today to fix my exhaust that i have on my car right now. I was hoping to get something all bolt-on ready so that i don't have to deal with custom making it, but oh-well if anyone else has any good ideas let me know. I am putting a b18c into my 5th gen hatch. I thought that there were testpipes(or cats.) that were longer than others but i don't know. Thanks
