Default Electronic Load detector malfunction???!

My car is throwing a code for this, I've never heard of such a thing.

Basically, what is it...and how do i fix it? I'm assuming it has something to do w/ wiring? Whoever had my car before me rigged this thing up:

I don't know wtf that is, or why it's there. Could that be it? It's in a 99 honda civic. It was throwing this code before I swapped the motor, now it still is.

Before someone says google it... I have, I can't find anything helpful.

looks like they made a jump between circuits, id say that fuse block is bad and they made it work. id get a new fuse block from the junkyard and switch if out. give me a shared_pm id do it for real cheap and im very qualified.

Looks like they did that for possibly the fan relay. Relay probably went bad so they jumped it. Does your fan run nonstop or any other item run nonstop that should be intermittent?

Like stated above, grab a fuse block off ebay or junkyard and swap it out...very easy thing to do. Put all fresh fuses and relays in it and call it a day.

The a/c isn't hooked up right now, I'm thinking those wires might have had something to do w/ the ac. Nothing is running non stop that shouldn't be.

When you say a fuse block, you mean the entire box? I went to the junk yard today and got an ELD...I don't have a scan tool at the house to see if it's cleared that code.

I had never seen anything like it. I hate ghetto rigged things, especially figuring out other peoples ghetto rigging...it's a major PITA.

well it looks like they have it all tied up between the ignition battery, cond fan and the power windows. i would assume they rig it so that when the ac was on they cond fan would run as well and maybe they were having some issues with the power windows as well? i would pull the the wires then test these circuits properly and use that as your baseline instead trying to guess why they did what they did
