Clutch problems need help

So i was driving today and i was about to shift into third when i heard this noise like something came out from under the car, all of a sudden i try to pop it into gear and the clutch pedal was loose!

now i cant get it into gear at all and the clutch pedal is useless, what could this problem be??

some people say i need a new clutch, another said throw out bearing went bad

anyone have insight? thanks, and if you know about pricing let me know as well because i get paid this thursday so.... ill be able to fix it this week... thanks...

first check to see if you have fluid in your master cylinder.

well i found out my cable snapped

how much is it to replace the cable?

all i need is something to hook onto the rod, we put a vice grip on the snapped side and drove it home, i need a perminant fix though

I admire creative solutions.
Most people pull out the complete inner/outer cable and slide in another one. Tighten it up under the dash at the pedal, and adjust it at the trans.

change tranny to hydro tranny and you wouldnt have that prob. me personally i love hydro trannys those cable tranny's are crap to me but gl you should be able to find another cable for cheap

i have to disagree with you on that
1. you can feel the clutch engagement point on a cable better then a hydro
2. it's less that can go wrong
3. it's easier to adjust a cable then it is a hydro
