Help timing belt heating up

Default Help timing belt heating up

i just replaced my timing belt and now the cam gear is getting really hot and the belt gets hot.. is it supposed to be like that? or is something wrong? it doesnt make any whining noises or anything and drives normal..

Did you check the timing with a light?

spining at 5K will make anything hot so yes its normal,just keep a eye on it if you see the belt spliting then i would worry
