ATTENTION.... installing a head gasket, head studs or pistons and rods in your otherwise STOCK engine dose not make it a "built" engine! stop listing you cars for sale saying they are built when its not!!

No it will NOT work, the obd0 dizzy has less teeth in it than the obd1 and newer dizzies.

Ok here's the deal...

If you are using an obd0 ecu and obd0 distributor right now then NO absolutely NOT will a obd1 distributor work on that setup. It will bolt on but the electronics will NOT work.

From what I understand and what you wrote, it looks like the customer is doing ls/vtec. If they are going obd1 with the ecu then YES you can make the distributor work. If they stay obd0 the obd1 distributor will NOT electronically work. The tooth count inside of the distributor is different between obd0 and obd1/2 distributors.

Yes, it will have to be and obd1 setup in order to run the obd1+ distributor. I will repeat, it WILL bolt on to the obd0 setup BUT will not electronically work.

Bad idea. Use an obd1 distributor & obd1 vtec ecu.
