your best bet is to PM LETSROLLAGN or Mr Self Destruct. They can give you prices and parts etc....

will someone actually explain to him how an ls/vtec setup is put together. from what I gather so far he is still clueless. You dont just weld a vtec solenoid onto an ls motor and abra-kadabra. Your best bet would be to just buy a COMPLETE b16a2 or a3 swap and just build up an LS block. Like everyone else said it isnt gonna be cheap to do it right. $1500 I dont know about that. My friends just put together a pretty basic Ls/vtec setup nothing fancy just type R pistons and cams but he made sure to do it right the first time. He completely rebuilt the motor which means it is basically brand new. I think his ran right around $3500-4000 youll save probably over a grand if you dont rebuild. just dont rush into anything. Everyone here will tell you it is better to have a set gameplan before you go out buying things that you might not even use. take the time and do it right the first time you wont find much better advice than that. Good luck

buy a b16a1 complete swap put it in. find ls block build it out of the car. then ur car is already vtec wired and all u gotta do is change blocks and get ur head machined to fit ls block.
cost u about 1200-1500 for b16a1 complete swap.
then about 500-1000 to build ur block.
