You want ls rods...if the gsr rods even worked in there it would drop the compression considerably. You can get the rods shot peened but good luck finding someone around that does it...I couldn't

There used to be a few places that would do it. It's been a long ass time since I even looked into it though. Try Engine Lab if they're still around. Really your least expensive route in the long run would be to pick up a set of LS H-Beam rods.

you dont need to peen your rods its a waste of money, and like they said gsr rods will not work but the 1 thing is the compression will be higher not lower do to the piston coming out the cyl do to the gsr rods are 1/2mm or so longer....sell your gsr rods and buy arp rod bolts for the ls rods you will be fine.and some nice gsr or itr pistons will help your cmopression if your not upgrading your cams

if eisleys is still in business they do everything. i had my rods shot peened and balanced there and had my head put togehter there as well.

if i remember they were somewhere off i-4 exit 4 or 5 its been like mad long so they might be out of business or moved.

my motor put down 170hp to the wheels and 135 torque without any tuning.

i revd it to 8800 all day long and never had a problem on the stock rods.

What goes wrong first most of the time under higher than factory stress conditions in the ls block is the rods. That being said, if you plan on revving higher than stock setting, arp rod bolts are neccessary bro. Shot-peening them gives you that extra "security" and reliability in the long run. You should really do some research on this in honda-tech. Their is loads of threads/videos/discussions about this on there.
