i got h22a1 in eg. okay i was told that the p13 ecu wont work for this. that i would have to get a gsr or b16. I went to see if the p13 would plug in and it did. well it plugged into my integra (which is just a shell) but the shit is the same. questin is . It pluged in which means it will plug in to the eg . will it work!??.... i know it has the lil black box on the bracket under the ecu what about that thing?... someone fill me in. please

 

well i have a h22 eg hatch..and it had a p13 and ran fine..i would run a p13 over a p30 or p72 ecu since a p13 the right ecu for your swap..but if you can get a p28 and get it chipped with at least a decent basemap you would be better off

 

The p13 ecu looks for the EGR and the p72/p28/p30's do not. If you are planning to get the car ecu tuned then just get the b series vtec ecu and have the maps tuned. That way you can delete the EGR stuff on the motor. I'm not even sure if you can chip/tune the p13 ecu's. The p13 ecu will run the car fine btw just have to wire in the EGR so you don't get the check engine lights.

 

you can chip em but you cant datalog a p13 so its useless.
