Default H22 EG manual transmission question

My buddy recently purchased a H22 EG and the shifter cable took a crap the other night. Just wondering what cable he would need to buy? he thinks it would be a prelude cable set up.

let me know asap. and if anyone knows if anyone has one let me know also. (if anyone wants one from honda its 360$ )

Most likely he would need cables from a 92-96 prelude. Check to see if his shifter base is steel or plastic. If its steel its 92-96 if its plastic its 97-01

this is what its got

This is the cable itself. Looks like it expanded out and tore the insulation around it causing some of the strands to rip piece by piece.

Accord cables need the Accord shifter. 92-96 Prelude cables need the 92-96 Shifter. 97-01 Prelude cables need the 97-01 shifter.

^^^ some is tru some is not. 95 accord with 94 prelude shifter works prefect, just replaced one today and it shifts like butter.
