i bought a p28 thats chipped and tuned with chrome, i was running on a p06 and the car runs good, just with the p28 it should run better

when i put on the p28 it doesnt want to go over 4 rpm, and the acceleration sucks, wat could it be? what i need? my friend told i might need fuel pressure regulator, becuase the ecu is asking for more fuel to be sent, could that be it?

is the chip tuned to ur specific motor by a tuner?? if the answer is no start by taking the computer to a tuner and having them tune it to ur specific needs.. even if they told you it was for your engine people lie to sell stuff so i would check before you keep running it..

 

true, it was tuned by my friends, friend but, yea its probably the tune, he said it was tuned for single cam vtec, but the p06 is for that too, he use the ecu on a ls vtec, and it worked fine

you need a re-tune!! def! idk how he was running a ls v like that, but ur engine is not vtec so the computer is not reading any vtec solenoids so thats why its acting up. plus single cam fuel maps are different from twin cams.. you def need a retune..

 

Get a tune.

If the car ran better with the p06, then obviously something isn't right with the p28.

oh its the tune im pretty much sure.. but you have to take it to a tuner to be sure that is not a mess up ecu.. we really cant tell you more without you taking it to a tuner.. Alpha Or Vega would take care of you just shared_pm them..
