Hey all,

i am about a week away from installing my custom turbo kit on my LS b18b.. i got a Garrett T3/T4 60 trim turbo (shipping now!!! ) , i purchased the greddy oil filter block adapter to use for my send/return lines for oil cooling. after looking at it.. it seems to be only for sending the oil and nothing for the return! i was wondering if i can use it for both.. if not i need some other options for a return line... thanks! repz for bumps and advice!

Lol..did you even search google for turbo oil return?

It dumps as short and as direct as you can without burning/melting/kinking it...right back into the oil pan.

 

yeah i did search, i just didnt wanna cut/weld a hole into my oil pan... thats why i wanted to know if the greddy piece will work for send and return..

 

No, that location on the block only supplies Pressurized oil, and the turbo is a gravity drain only.

And its just a drill bit..and you could JB weld a fitting in if you so chose. But nonetheless it is the only way.

 

Do it right and weld a -10an or -12an fitting in you oil pan. like FrodoGT said, you can't can't return to a pressurized spot. It has to gravity return to the pan.

 

ok... can i use the greddy for atleast the send line then?

any recommendations for the return? im not a huge fan of buying 'universal/generic/ebay' products...
