Exclamation Ls/Vtec Question...

I got a fully built Ls/Vtec, from the bottom up, all ARP studs, Mains, rods, etc, Im utilizing the b18a1 Crank, With the 1.8 Rods, Jdm P30 pistons, Type R intake, Type R throttle Body, 2000 B16 Head, Golden Eagle Vtec Kit, Gsr Int Cam, B16 Ext Cam, Tods Cam Gears, LS Tranny, Bla Bla Bla. Dont get me wrong she runs like a raped ape, She is obd-0 at the moment, using a Pr3 Ecu, All Of this is in my 91 CRX Si. She is fully broken in now as I have wrote a slightly modified MAP and are using that .bin at the moment.
Im certain the cams that I am presently using is stopping me from feeling like she need to be, I heard of other's running an 01 Type R int cam, and a
B16 Ext cam, and claim thats where the money is at. Also came across a few people who have used the CTR cams and rave about them as well.
Im curious to see who has a similar swap and what they are using as far as cams are concerned. What you started out with and what you have now. And how you feel they made a difference in performance.
I have left the dist. at stock, as well as the cam gears. She seams to pull better and stronger through out the power band that way, rather than adjusting them and gaining more up top vs. on the bottom.

Can anyone add any suggestions or have any comments on this topic?

Thanks...

I'd focus on converting the car to obd-1 so you can properly tune the car before anything else.

with that compression you need better cams your doing nothing for that motor with the shitty gsr/b16 cams if you put in itr you will feel a better pull and top end and if you get some better ones then that such as s2s2 you will be very happy with it all..your cams are holding you back

use b17a cams they are low budget cams that create more power than a b16 or b18c1. anybody care to prove me wrong.

No difference in b17 and b18c. No power gains will be made his compression is still to much for small lift
