So i thought I was going back to dsms, but I am a sucker for a good deal....a 96 del sol S 125k in great condition, for $1500. I just have a few questions seeing as i kno nothing about them. First off I kno it doesnt have a d16z6 but what motor do they have stock? Second what are those button like switches over the speedometer? Looks to be 3 ov em, and do all the tops on del sols come off?

 

D16Y7 non vtec is the motor you have as long as it hasnt been swapped.
The buttons on the top are for AUX lights which since yours is a 96 does not have. Also for Cruise Control, since you have an S model also do not have. Thats why they are blank, they are just dummy buttons. Yes all del sols are targa tops.

 

They also have a hazard button and rear defroster.

 

I thought he was just talking about the ones on the left. Since the ones on the right have markings. At least in that pic S model. 95-97
