This should also work, but I would use an old belt between the chain and the pulley. The first pulley I had to remove, my stepdad brought over a strap wrench (sort of a fabric) and we had to use one of the old belts to get a better grip on the pulley. That was before I bought that tool though.
i appriciated everyones help.
just for anyones future referance, although there is a universal tool that removes honda crank pulleys, it does not work on the acura vigor. the vigor has a specific tool that only dealers carry for the removal of the crank pulley.
i am going to try the chain wrench method. im gonna use the old belt and then wrap a towel around the the pulley to further protect it. hopefully this works.

i had this old ass subaru that i was fixing for a friend, and i couldnt get that damn pulley off and wasnt about to spend the money on the tool, nor was he. so i drilled 2 10mm bolt-sized holes in the pulley at opposite ends and ran two bolts into it and wedged a pry bar in-between them so it locked it in place, and that worked great.
never f-ed with a vigor pulley so idk if thats of any help. just figured id throw it out there.
