ok i just got a jdm s1 tranny and where the speed cable goes it is realy diff from my 93 teg ls ys1. are the 2 gear drives the same or what?
do i just pull mine out of the 92-93 and put it in the s1 or what? they look similar but do the gears have the same amount of teeth?
or do i need to pull just the gear off and change it only.?
i dont know wtf to do.

JDM cable trannies come with an electrical vss. Just take the mechanical vss one out of the ys1 and put it in the si. Easy. Just make sure not to lose the c-clip.

No there both cable/mechanical one just has an internal pump(the jdm one w/two hoses) that you dont need the 93 ls is cable driven as well but it does not have the pump or hoses so just swap out the one from the ls to the jdm tranny. 92+ is electrical.
