hey zorro I just wanted to mention that you are a complete idiot. I have yet to see a single educated post come from you. I am with j99jm you have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about and you cannot spell for shit. The motor is not bad because he said it loads the cds fine it just doesnt play them. That error message just means that it is not reading the cd correctly so it could either be that the cd is shitty or the optic is damaged and cant read the cd. As for clarion being a bad company wrong as usual. Just go to a local clarion dealer and have them ship it back. Clarion has a one year manufacturer warranty so it might be covered if it isnt too old. Clarion will give the shop an estimate before they repair it and then let you decide whether or not it is worth fixing. First go out and get one of those cd player cleaning kits and run that through and see if it helps. and zorro do yourself a favor and shut the hell up. thanks

I hate clarion. They have good features and sound quality is decent and not too hard to figure out how to use however the craftsmanship of them suck. My first one just quit working one day no juice to it whatsoever I checked fuses connections ect took it to a dealer they bench tested and said it was something internal. Well they sent it off fixed it and got sent back to me the cd that was in there at the time (stuck because the cd player wouldnt do a damn thing) was gone. Had it for another 6 months before the lights on the display quit working so I just had to push buttons and didnt get any type of feedback from the display. Then I buy one for my g/f and another for myself. The one I put in my g/fs car didnt work at all took it back got another. Mine 1 week after the warrenty ran out I went to push the on button and it just collapsed so the on off switch doesnt work. So to turn it on I have to have the face plate down put a cd in and close the face plate if I want to listen to a cd. If I want to listen to the radio I have to have the face plate down put in a cd in then eject the cd then wait for the cd to slide back in and close the face so I can control the radio. The remote for the cd player quit working a long time ago battery was replaced to no avail. Now sometimes when I close the faceplate it automatically shuts off it does that more often when its cold. When the temp is around 50 degrees or less I have to insert cd and close the faceplate numerous times before I close the faceplate without it shutting off. Ive had nothing but bad expierences with clarions workmanship and they even stole one of my cds bastards.

Oh my gosh dude sounds like youve had horrible experience with Clarion..I feel your pain. Spending all that money expecting something great and turns out to be squat...i had an old alpine in there but my friend was selling his clarion and i was like man that looks alot better than mine so i traded mine and 40 bucs for it...stupid mistake..oh well i guess ill just have to save and buy another one...sound advice says $110 to fix...ya right

Well Ive had my clarion pro audion cd player in my prelude since 95 and that thing still works like a charm. I know the newer clarions are ugly and function/quality is kind of so-so which is why I went w/nakamichi in my crx. Best sound quality and no frills design.
