How to fix?

I hate my Cd player the kid before me who had my 93 Honda civic CX ghetto rigged EVERYTHING. He used electrical tape to connect the CD player wires and male and female connectors Theres zippy ties everywhere. My problem is the gauge cluster lights dont light up and i change the fuse for it. ALSO my cd player is shitty I swear every day it swithces which speaker it wants to play its music out of AND the back harness plug that plugs into the cd player is messed up U have to hold it down really hard just for it to play. I dont know how to fix this stuff. Its the most annoying thing ever. I cant go without music. WHAT DO I DO? =(

I went to school with my 3inch Thermal exhaust in my 93 civic hatch b-c i had no where else to put it for the time being , Well this kid walks up and looks in the car and say's " Is that an exhaust" and i say yah. He says" doesnt it get really hot in there?"

sounds like you need to get a new cd player and have someone like me or 93ex look at it for ya...
well to start take the radio out and look at the wires...sounds to me like there is a short in the lighted wire which the guy/kid probably didnt tape and it shorted out. Did he cut out the cars harness?? if he did that sucks big nuts...easyy to fix though. let me know

Yeah he cut the stock harness to the cd player also with the gauge lights only the main headlights come on now not the turn signals the turn signals only work when i push them down or up other then that they dont work
