Default few crx/swap questions

i've got a '89 CRX Si i'm trying to get an LS swap into it. i've done swaps before but not on a CRX...

i've got a DA shift linkage and for it to fit on the crx i heard you had to cut and weld it 1 1/4". if anyone can confirm that let me know please.

axles, am i capable of using the same axles from the DA?

i'm able to handle alot of the build myself but i'm stuck on these few issues.

can anyone refer me to a machine shop with decent prices to re-surface an LS head and remove a broken Cam Cap bolt?

We used hasport B into EF linkage. Also, as far as the axles go, i think it depends on which half shaft you are using. Look in the T&C shop forum, the top sticky is about b swapped EFs. We used DC axles, but were also using a Hydro Trans.

You need to use your DA axles/half shaft if your using cable trans.

Id buy the shift linkage already shorter if you can afford it, You can cut/weld it though and thats the right (1 1/4") just cut it the rods where its straight.

Talk to Ray about your ls head and he welds too.

yeah Ray's completely rebuilt a head for me already and it was deff. an A+ job. but i'm guessing i'll be hitting up Hasport for the linkage.

i remeber back in the day b4 the hasport linkage when i did my Ef hatch swap i used a Da linkage what i did Was went to AceHardware bought a pipe that was just small bit larger then the linkage to slide over it,then cut the pipe got under the car had a friend in there to Match deadcenter as i slide it in then Just welded that it was easy LOL

As for axel like they said what ever Halfshaft you have you need that year drivers,as for passager they are all the same 90-01 just 92-00 had the Abs option i myself used The civic Si halfshaft and axels with the Abs ring cause they are just lil longer and hope if your car is lower..you just have to change out the drives Tranny seal to a Si.if you have a Da shifter and would like help and welding it let me know save ya money
