car shuts off when i turn it on..
could be gas cycling back to the tank, before you turn it over to start it turn the key and listen for the fuel pump it should be a slight hum, could be the pump going and not pushing like it should, try priming it 2-3 times before actually tryna start it

also, it could possibly be an ignition switch going out. happened to me, then eventually i had to drive the car home holding the key in the on position lol.

Sounds like your iacv isnt working properly. What rpm do you idle at when warm/cold (if at all). On all 92-up cars the idle is solely controlled by the iacv, assuming that the throttle isnt open too far for it to actually make a difference.

had the same problem on my turbo'd hatch with a walbro 255 never figured out what it was.. so i just went with the "priming" as said before problem solved
