Man that sucks. I have found good old steel wheels to be the best. When you hit a curb real hard and bend the rim you just take a hammer to it to bend it back into shape just enough to get the hubcap back on. It doesnt really matter that the front end now shakes or that that tire will get a hugh bubble in the tread in 3 months. I now have to pay the interest from the 3 months of time I borrowed from the car by having the entire front end realigned. Oh and in the process of changing the tires it does not matter if you break one or two studs off the car while changing the tire (Chrysler claims there is not a problem with this but why is it everytime I try to buy new studs the dealership is always out? Go figure!) as long as there are still 3 out of 5 the tire will stay on just fine. I know this from experience the car drove great on 3 studs for 2 months till the dealership could get me one stud now I feel much safer with 4! Moral of the story? Dont hit curbs!
