question about building a motor

Default question about building a motor

d16 vtec head + d15 bottom end...can i just bolt them up and run with no problems. or do i have to make any changes before cranking car back up...? I am a noob 2 hondas so bare with me plz.

You will need the right belt, ecu, and wire vtec solenoid. Not to mention the right head studs. That should go without saying

The right belt...if they are different (belts) how can they work together?? and i have a d16 already...just swaping the bottom end wont be enuf?? what ecu would i need. the guy doing it has one already completed (mini me) so im sure he knows what hes doing...but for the sake of not lookin like an idiot ...lmk whatever i might need, so i dont get G'd.

thanx man...thats the kind ov shyt i like...notice u are always the one who answers my questions...despite the 35 others who came b4 u. Thats how my life in mitsu tech started...and how i gott bettr with the 4g63t...appriciate the time taken to help a noob.

lol and the guide says i need ex timing belt/ tranny thank god thats what im running with...but p28 ecu..gotta see where thats from now.

ex again ftw...so all i need is the bottom end and a new head gasket...maybe plugs nd wires...full d15 engine:$100 ; Swap from guy building like 10 boosted LS Vtec's:$100...having all the shyt recommended 4 a swap u knew nothing about: Priceless...
