h22 timing question. pic

Default h22 timing question. pic

is it possible for a piston to had hit the valve from the timing being off and trying to start it? a friend of mine that is a mechanic said that it is possible. the number 1 piston is up.

Yes the h22 is an interference motor.
If this did happen your motor is shot/in need of a rebuild.

will notching the valves interfere with compression?

they notched the pistons not the valves and yea these are higher compression pistons they used on that link(jspec type s pistons) i gave you
I dont think the notching affected compression. Then again i dont know, you would have to ask someone that has experience in those things.

not to be an ass but i know its off timing .. the question was from it being off timing is there a possibility one of the pistons hit the valve.
