Built GSR help ZEX w/Boost?
well for 150 an ebay turbo im not too worried. by the time it burns up, I hope to have a bigger better turbo anyways. tinking between a gt35 to 40. By the way are you using a topmount or ramhorn with your gt42
I have several questions TR if you can help me without bashing my lack of knowledge. First is i have a gsr with new rods, pistons, and new valvetrain. I want to run between 16-20psi with my current set up. I also have a zex direct port nitrous kit on the car which is adjustable to 250.
1.would it be safe with the right tune to just run a 100 shot in the last bit of my 3rd and 4th gears to get to the end of the track, or run the nitrous at the begining of my gears to build the boost faster and put a pressure switch in the charge pipe to kill nos when the boost is over like 10psi.
2. I also have a msd sci box or a msd 6al with the 2step. which one should i go with? and if you say 6al what is the ideal pills for the two step as far as redline for the car with the ferrea valvetrain and the two step launch control. Keep in mind i have lcon traction bars and a blox drag coilover set up.

to put it in very simple simple terms, bigger turbo= more whp, than smaller turbo on same psi. Its all about how many cfm's each turbo flows.

on a sidenote, corey said you are going to run 26'' slicks? I would advise against that. People have run 9.1-9.2 on 24.5'' slicks

i havent really got into all of that yet. this is a memory project build for my little brother so its on a little but at a time. i literally started with almost nothing cause my brother bought the car of a typical hinda kid who knew nothing and fucked things up. I have done a lot to it, although some people hate on the ebay stuff, but obviously i plan on breaking a few things and upgrading later. I have got some l-con traction bars and the blox drag coilover kit. next will be rims and tires after i get som pro1s. I really dont want to tune until that so i dont pay twice for the same thing. If you have any tips on best rims and tires ill def keep in mind cause i dont think corey will be helping me anytime soon.
well I dont know what rims for you to get, but as far as tires go, it depends on the power you are making. I daily drive on 235/60's because of the power and weight of my car, and anything smaller the car is all over the street/hwy. tire size also depends on your tranny. Ls tranny and big tires really dont mix well iv noticed and am in the process of getting a b16 tranny with gearspeed carbon coated snycro's.
