hey guys im trying to change out the fuel pump in my 92 cx but i cant get the hoses off to pull out the assembly from the tank...i wanted to know if i could just cut the hose and re-fit it or if i should replace it.any info or help would be greatly appreciated..if it does need to be replaced is there a certain name for the hose i need?

hers a pic of the hose thats pretty much "stuck" on there.im afraid if i try to pull it.. it will just rip off all f'd up..lol

best way to get them off is to take a plier and hold the hose firlmy and turn left and right a few times to break the seal that was made since they was on for so long and clamped down. you then hold the hose loosely and pull the hose back. if that does not work too well after the seal has been broken use a flat head screwdriver and push the hose back from the end of the hose.

 

^yup MAKE SURE YOU TAKE OFF THE GAS CAP FIRST or else the pressure will spray gas out that hose,and all over..and when you get all the 10mm nuts off pull the pump out at a 90deg pulling it to the dash board with small turns to the left while pulling becareful the filter will still have gas in it and will drip when you get it out

 

^ or loosen up the bolts holding the fuel filter in the engine bay
(put a towel over it if you do it this way)
im surprised ive never had issues replacing fuel pumps
