Storing A Car For 2 Years?
Hey I was thinking about buying a 96 integra gsr but the only thing I'm concerned about is it has been stored for two years. I was just wondering what would be some cons of storing it for two years and when I go to check it out what should I look for? Thanks tr

if it does not start would be good 1,how bad it stinks inside lol,if the gas was drained or additives were added,there tons small things like rust bugs just be wise look over the whoe car

definitely look for bad gas. injectors might be clogged up radiator flush would be in order.. all this to be looked at especially if they did not start to car every once in a while....

flat spot tires and if it was up on jacks for that long take a look at the suspension

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Gas tank could be shot along with fuel pump by then if there was no gas in the tank...the only way to keep those from going bad is to store it with a TOPPED off tank. Hoses could be very brittle back by the fuel tank too. Check for smells like stated above and to see if the electrical system components still works (ie. headlights,turn signals, interior lights, dash lights, brake lights, running lights...anything electrical you can check...CHECK IT)

check; gas.. rust.. tires.. oil... how bad it smells.. and if it hasnt been started once in a while you might not wanna get on it too hard till all the parts in the engine are well lubricated.. and i would buy one of those cold start oils and put it in the cylinders before the first start..
