Default Help Please!!!!!

I have a 190 ef hatch with 1992 integra ls motor however on acceleration there is a ticking noise coming from the engine. Im assuming the valves need to be adjusted also i backfire every gear and its pretty prevalent now. spark plugs and wires are new. I was told from the backfiring that it could be a leak in the exhaust.

I would have to head the ticking to determin what it is but,the back firein COULD be a leak in the exhaust. If you want feel free to call me and bring the car by the shop and we will figure out what the problem is

a crack in your header will cause the backfiring.

I have an exhaust manifold stud that is broke off and is flush with the head so you cant use visegrips to take it out. I tried with a screw extractor to get it out but it broke off in the stud. It might need to be drilled and retapped, but that is causing the backfiring. Its very annoying. Any ideas that i can use. I dont wanna spend a whole lot just for someone to get it out.

take a drill witha small bit, drill in the center of the stud then use the left handed drill or u can try this thing called and easy out. good luck

or if ur really fucked u can try to jb weld soemthing to it might be able to get it out that way.

done it before but some of the bolt head was out jb welded someshit to it then i was able to turn the thing i welded to it and get my shit out.

also works great if u have a stripped head on a bolt u cant get out, u can jb weld a socket to it, u lose your socket but it will get ur shit out.

I do the ez-outs as well as the reverse drill bits for people who
do what you did.

I also have the ability to remove the JB Weld from sockets.

PM me if I can be of help. I'm in South Tampa.-Bob
