••••>best way to gain 30-40whp from my supercharged setup
as many know i have jackson racing supercharged gsr swapped eg... i currently make around 240whp at optimal temps... the charger is set to 11 psi and it makes way to much heat at higher rpms that i think i could make the same power with 8psi because they had to pull so much timing to stop it from detonating for it to even run safely at 11lbs
so i want o avoid buying the LHT intercooler/aftercooler thing... last time i called they wanted 1500 plus tuning cost (500+) and they will make me buy an s300 (500+ again) and 3-4 days to put it on my car... all together 2500
1. i have 3 idea's the 1st one would be the snow meth kit and i have talk to some one who uses it and loves it but they used it on a vortec not a JRSC. so where to hook up the meth to is a queston i don't know the answer to. do i throw into the intake pipe or like direct port it into all 4 runners. i don't know. most of all i want to know, will i gain power from cooling the air and also using meth.. how much could i gain. i want to be 275 -290... i will be getting a tune as soon as i install any of these ideas. this should cost 4-500
2. this one i think would be really fun, i was told by adding a small shot (25 -35 shot, thats it no higher then that) of NOS i would cool the air at higher temps like the meth and i would gain more power and some say it can be safer then the meth injection. i would like to have the progressive nos setup so it would be a quick shot type thing and i would have it running off a wot switch. also with this i would have it tuned as soon as i installed.
i can get this for as much as the meth kit 4-600
3. and this one i like but i just don't know much about these setups. ok so i was thinking people make close to 200whp on b20vtec setups so what if i swapped out my bottom end for a b20 bottom end i would sleeve it and do what i could to get it to rev to 7-8k and i think with the charger set at 8 or 9lb i can make 275whp all day. the queston is can i make this reliable and for no that much cash. again i would have it tuned asap
more about my set up. my gsr swap was rebuilt not to long go (about 4k miles ago) and has been running like atop since, it has a comedic head gasket apr studs type r oil pump, and i was told it had really strong rings made for boost but i can't tell i have to take the guy who built it word for it and he lied about alot... so i have seen many gsr set ups make over 300whp on stock piston and rods. i just want 275-290whp and i plan on getting the best dyno tune i can (jap dan tuning FTW)
please tell me if you have any other ideas or which one of mine you think would work the best thanks to all would help i will REP everyone
p.s. i have a b16 tranny on my setup does anyone know the what the top speed on those trannys are i was told they can only go up to 117mph
also i want to keep my charger no turbos for me please and if you want to start shit with me send me a pm (you know who you are)
if anyone needs pics of anything or anything from me just ask me

As for the b16 tranny...per my gps it tops out at 117mph with my b20 (nonvtec) and my limiter raised to 7200rpm. With a gsr motor you should see around 120-125mph top speed.
The block idea sounds fun but you will be in a non cost effective boat. If your going that direction then I am sorry I would have to say turbo only.
I would do the LHT deal. The nitrous will work but it will get annoying having to refill it all the time.
Meth kits work great from what I hear on turbo setups but I have never used one myself.
Get the LHT aftercooler thing and install it yourself and have someone else tune it. Problem solved about converting to s300.

the lht thing is still over $1100... i can do the b20 for less then that and have less boost running thought my motor and still get the power i want and i think it would last longer too... but i'm not a pro i really want to know more about water/meth like, can i run straight meth or how does it know how much to spray in at any give rpm or boost level and most of all how much hp will i gain
Nitrous is good.
The motor will handle it if it's healthy, and it's much safer/less of a hassle compared to meth IMO.

Why the fuck would he do that?
Spend 3k on a motor, 2k on a k series tranny, even more money on the adapter plate/mounts/wiring harness/fuel system/engine management/. Plus his B series supercharger won't work, so that's another 3k+ for a s/c for a s2k.
You leave the dumbest comments on threads, I swear.

Meth injection all day!! Water/Methanol Injection provides "Chemical Intercooling" inside the cylinder. By injecting water and methanol in a finely atomized spray, the water is able to evaporate under the high temps of a firing cylinder, and when the water evaporates, it takes heat with it. The methanol also has a cooling and octane boosting effect as it burns.
The production of more power by a water/meth injected engine is not a by-product of the water/meth mixture alone. You must tune for it to get the most out of it. The evaporative effects of the water/meth mixture, plus the octane boost, allows you to run more advanced timing, and boost, thus increasing power. Methanol having the octane boosting effect, you can adjust your AFR's with tuning, and be able to run the same AFR as a pump gas tune with less fuel added to the fuel map of your engine managment. When the system is spraying, methanol is making up for the fuel that gets taken away during the tuning process. You end up with about same 12.5:1 or so AFR with less pump gas added, you also increase knock resistance, and due to the octane boosting effect, you can add timing and boost to make more power safely.
