alight well my nephew got a 96 civic hx it use to be an auto but was converted to a 5 speed they threw in a z6 and the car is in limp mode
in ek's the hk model the five speed harness is different from the auto so what they did is run the auto ecu and the 5 speed ecu does not plug up so thats why its in limp mode
can i use an obd2 -obd1 jumper harness or will it not plug in do i have to change the whole cabin harness?

 

Well i did a 5-speed conversion on my old ek hatch.. my 5-speed Ecu plugged right up..


maybe you have the wrong ecu.

 

this is an hx model i have thre differt ecu one for the y8 and y7 and hx and only hx one fits

 

oh shit... the Hx auto has that Dam CVT tranny...

you should get another harness from a different model..

 

are you obd1 or 2? d16z6 = obd1

 

the care is obd2 its a ek and they have a z6 in it with obd2 dizzy,injectors...

 

So what ecu are you trying to use? P28?, or P2P?
P28 =obd1 so it will not fit with your stock harness without a obd2 > 1 conversion harness
P2P = obd2 plug n play

 

Also are you throwing any CELs? You should be throwing an auto tranny related code. Check all codes and get back to us.

 

ur not understanding what im saying i know the p28 wont fit
i tried using a p2n,p2p,p2e none of them plug in because it was an auto harness and for codes i have one solid code cuz its in limp mode

 

Buy a used ecu harness from someone on here
