cometic head gaskets..??? what do you think

damn that sucks they dont sell the felpro for the h22 i dont think at autozone,just have the head resufaced and try stock i guess

i did. 600 bucks worth the machine work at 3d. so were thinking this micro drip is from the pos cometic head gasket,

sounds more like a builders problem,if you had all the machine work done like decking and resufacing.unless the gasket got bent some how..

it was a metal gasket so thats what were going with. no the building is good man. they took there time. so 9-10 of cemetic head gaskets go bad.

I rocked a Cometic head gasket on my poor mans R..

Never leaked when we put it back together with Arp studs..

and we never decked it or resurfaced the head.. and we didnt even use that copper spray...

never leaked at all... even at 12.5.1 compression..

Cometics are one of the best gaskets on the market.

There is something wrong with your head or your block. I have never had headgasket problems,machining the head and block are a must on something like what you have.

then its the builders fault i just saw the thread,he either Tq the bolts down wrong or bent the hg,if it was a big leak or coolent geting into the cyl the i would say hg was garbage

u sure its not the cam seals? they leak down the back of the head and end up puddling where the block stamping letters are making it look like its coming from the headgasket.

Just a suggestion, Ive been using Cometics for a long time and never had an issue with them.
