Brake swap review....
Well I figured since all people seem to do here is ask questions Id post a review (which I hope others will do when they get new parts).
Anyways this is the setup:
6th gen civic (98 Coupe EX) w/ 2000 GS-R rear brakes 98+ MC 98+ Booster 99+ Si prop valve brembo blanks w/ Hawk HPS pads in front all stock rotors/pads in rear and Ate Super Blue for fluid.
Install is of course pretty simple and a direct replacement other than some minor issues with the booster.
Brake feel? Damn fine a lot better than the spongy pedal I used to have. Since the setup pretty much emulates that of the Integra the pedal feel is almost the same but Id say a tad bit firmer from my experiences. Could be due to the Ate fluid.
Stopping power? A lot better but could stand to be improved a bit. Dont get me wrong the car stops on a dime now and brake dive isnt as pronounced but I feel that there is room for improvement with some better pads in the rear.
Overall? A good investment and Im happy with it. Having been forced to drive a Miata around while my car was being repaired (rear end collision) I got used to its awesome steering response and pedal feel. When I got my car back I was disappointed by the overall feel of it. With the addition of these rear brakes and a smaller aftermarket steering wheel the car is just where I want it. Now for some power to go with it...

Nice review Bill! This past weekend i installed rear discs from a 94 teg 40/40 prop. valve Goodridge lines on my 94 civic dx...MUCH BETTER! I cant wait till i get the m/c and booster i need! I also put on the rear lower control arms and swaybar from a teg and the front lower control arms and swaybar from a 95 civic ex with new endlinks from honda and prothane bushings the swaybars made a huge difference in the ride handleing and even braking! For those of you who have civics ex or dx(ex has front only) front and rear swaybars are worth the time and effort!...
