Default Lowered Car In Deep Water Or In Deep Manure?

On 2 July My end of town had some HEAVY rain.
Some of you have seen my Accord lowered 3" on
modified stock springs, so maybe you can identify.....

I'm glad my air intake is already high. Pity those folks with
a snorkle aimed down to the ground...........got a call from someone who just stalled out in the water......AAA towed them to the dealer.....dealer wanted 7 grand for an engine plus a swap. Also a fan that comes on with
the ignition on, in deep water, will blow water all over your engines electricals.......

1.If you haven't yet changed to a short air intake, it might be a good idea to do that until the rainy season is over.....carry the long one in the car for when you have a race....

2.If your fan comes on as soon as you cut the ignition on, you might
think about putting in a fan cutoff switch to stop the fan from blowing water all over your engines electricals......if the car stalls out in deep
water, you can't even open the door.....and now you are in some deep manure.... -Bob

i have a power chamber intake aka whale penis, and the filter area it self sits on top of where the stock box which was "cold air" sits... so there is a whole below it looking straight into the street and passenger front tire,,, every time it rains i have to stop and put a plastic bag under the filter cuz my tire will splash water up.. and thats not even a cold air idk how people drive around with those.. its totally unsafe for the engine.. feel bad for ur friend Bob..

on another note, hey Bob im going to call you soon... so we can meet up and do the crank pulley bolt thats been bothering me.. maybe have a coke and a good car talk..

depends on what type of intake u wanna get.. u can go cold air which in raining season its a no no .. u can go short ram and get improved throttle response and maybe 5 to 7 horses.. and or you can go whale penis that under a good tune can put out as much as 18hp.. but its all about the tune and it seems like you dont have many modifications much less an aftermarket tune, so i would keep ur stock air box and call it a day just my .2 cents.... but if you did wanna upgrade short ram or whale penis is ur best bet..

I win lol Comptech Icebox system at its best short ram with a box around it to keep heat out and a huge tube going down behind the bumper for your cold air and you cant hydro lock it.

SRI is honestly the best, there's not much of a horsepower difference between an SRI and a CAI.
