Default Radiator Fans

Ok so I decided to ditch my OEM radiator and go with a dual core half-size one for my DC (boosted). Im runnin' 1 fan right now and was wondering do I need to run 2? I still have PS and AC btw.

After replacing my radiator my car temp rises up and down constantly during driving. When idling it just rises up, not to sure why. So Im guessin' because Im only runnin' 1 fan?

If the temp sensor in the rad cuts on the fan, and the fan cools the rad,
that would cause temp fluctuations. I would burp the radiator....get rid of any air inside.....and wire the fan to be constantly on when key is on.

I would have an active fan when the A/C is on, otherwise the
"A/C radiator" will warm up the motor's radiator.....-Bob

Does the power steering have a small tube that acts as a cooler?

I feel so stupid right now, I knew I had forgot to do something when I had added my coolant. I had forgot to burp the radiator lol. Well I drained it, added coolant, run the car with the heater on high and just let it burp like crazy! I just got done takin' it out for a drive from Brandon down to Ybor City and my temp didnt go above operating temp at all so I fixed that problem.

Yeah I already have my fans set to run all the time even with the key is on the on position so Im good on that.

Small tube on the power steering? Im not to sure what your talkin' bout on that one, I looked at it the best way I can and didnt see any attached tubes to it.. that I've noticed, pic?

Ima take a picture of my setup sooner or later and let you guys see my setup, right now Im runnin' the half-size radiator with the OEM fan (the left passenger side fan) and on the driver side its empty. I still have the driver side fan but I cant run it, like I cant have it propped up right enough to whether its not hittin' anything.

Also, I was plannin' on investing into those SPAL fans, how do they run? And is it possible to run a slim fan on the opposite side of the condenser?

Use the slim fans that advance auto parts sells...they are nice and have always worked for me and my friends.

I would like to see your setup when you can post the pics.....and if you need some lightweight brackets to hold the fan, get back with me.
Even if propped up, it can rub against things.

Fans can be put on either side as long as they push/pull air INTO the car.
I have rewired them to reverse the flow if needed.........even the ones that use a chassis ground. -Bob

Ok here go some shitty pics I just took:

What I meant by rubbin' against things is that the actual fan blades are hittin' the side part of the consender, its like some foam material and I was wondering if it was ok to remove that part (foam)? Outta curiosity tho.

Now yesterday I ran the car with the AC on just to see if it'll overheat or anything and it didnt not 1 time, the temp didnt go up at all, just stay at normal operating temp. I drove it from Brandon mall to Wesly Chapel around 5pm (rush hour traffic) just to see.. car maintained operating temp the entire way with just 1 fan. So now thats got me thinkin' do I really need another fan? I only run AC when I got my girl with me you know how they complain about its hot and shit.

But yeah I dont have any brackets or anything at the moment, well except the brackets that came off the OEM radiator but.. I am runnin' zipties tho lol.
