there has to be a switch that turns the light on when hatch is open, so look around the hatch for that switch. thats all i can think of

i did i even took a screw driver and let it act like the trunk and locked the truck with it and the damn light stays on....I cant think of anything else other then like a sensor but is there even a sensor. my alarm wont stop freaking going off because of it.

With some Hondas, at the latch there is a flat piece of metal
that works as a switch, and when the lid closes, it will interrupt the ground side of the bulb....

OR
when the lid opens, the flat metal allows battery to go to the hot side of the bulb.

Look first for the top paragraph solution....if a screw fell out, it cannot interrupt the ground, so the bulb stays lit.......

You might have to pull loose the plastic near the latch to
find the switch.-Bob

Lopezchris go to page 1284 of the manual i sent you. The sensor is in the latch. Remove the three bolts and check to see if connector is unplugged. Check continuity of sensor in both states open and closed. Hope this helps
