hi my hatch just decided to star giving me starting problems yesterday but it started.. then on my way home from work it just stalled in the middle of gunn hwy. i checked for fuel i checked for spark and i have both.. i tried to put another map sensor and it just turns over.. i know theres fuel cuz i disconnected the hose from the fuel rail and it was pressurized.. im out of ideas can somebody help me????

engine d16z6 stock other than an intake and aem adjustable cam gear.. and yes the cam gear is fine its where its supposed to..

 

ignition switch? alarm? main relay?

 

no alarm, how can i test the ignition switch?? i mean the starter is turning over, well the whole engine its turning over.. i got spark on all four spark plugs.. i got fuel at the fuel rail.. and the main relay its clicking when i put the key on the on position..

 

i need help bad guys i cant find the the problem... i just went and check the whole fuse box and i have no bad fuses... also tried to put a different map sensor and it didnt start..

 

come on guys 38 views and one has an idea of why it wont start???

 

um.. did u check the fuel pump?

 

umm if i have fuel at the fuel rail that mean my fuel pump is good.. i can hear it go on..

 

kk. my brothers car would start everyone once in a while and drive and then just die on him. he had fuel in the fuel rail also and it just wouldnt keep running.

 

but i mean i took off the hose from the fuel rail and i put the key on the on position and fuel just started pouring out..

 

it just started i dont know what was causing it but is started i played around with the dizzy wires and bum fired up THNAK GOD!! im going to test it cuz im gonna be leaving out of town in a few minutes if all checks out wish me luck... thnx for the help lopez
