has anyone here or know of anyone who has tested there honda/acura with a decibel meter? i am tryin to figure out if i am actually over the limit.

i think the legal limit for a car is 87 decibel. my shit isnt even that loud and i have got pulled over 2 times in the last week for this shit. i have no cat and i have a normal flowmaster muffler 40 or 50 series with a normal tip. its not the huge fart can that sounds like someone is weed wacking they grass

however everytime i ask them to test it for me they just tell me to leave.
i know they dont carry that shit in they car so to avoid the tickets i just ask them to test it. but its still dick, i mean i live across the street from a cop and he never ever said shit to me over the last 2 years.

the funniest part is the thing about nitrous. it states u have to have the bottle disconneted to drive legally on the street, but then it states its illegal to have more than 16 grams of it due to the fact there are tards who inhale this shit.

 

It is illegal to have more than 16 grams of medical type nitrous oxide. The type that is "supposed" to be in the fill stations for the cars has sulferdioxide in it which basically will keep most people from breathing it.

Also, most of the time they use the exhaust law to pull someone over to check for drugs or drinking or the such. Rarely do you actually see someone get written a ticket for their exhaust.

 

yeah the exhaust law is garbage anything louder than stock is considered illegal but we all know imports are the biggest target.

 

Yea ask the people with loud ass mustangs and camaros. They never get pulled over for their exhausts. Some of them are so fucking loud too. My friend Bruces LT1 sounded like I was at nascar on the highway, and that was driving next to him.

so if your going to crackdown dont just do it for Honda's or imports get all the domestic that are like that too. I hope we never end up like California for laws. Stupid loud exhaust need to go but to say anything louder than stock is illegal for a law being a good thing? Thats dumb. I think there should be a standard limit that not only applies to cars, trucks, and SUV's but motorcycles. I like the statement loud pipes save lives which is good to be able to let other know your coming or are near them but to have a different law for them doesnt make sense. So many motorcycles are straight piped and are rediculously loud even when cruising they are loud.

 

i have seen camaros pulled over at stop lights for reving there engines,the reason they crack down on importes is cause they are louder at least the mustangs and shit have a ruble to them not a super high pitch..plus on a domestic the sound goes away cause there cars start pulling away,but on a import they just get louder and louder cause its no muffler on a AUTOMATIC you can make your car quick and quite i have done it and seeen it...i remeber when i first swapped in my lsvtec in my 96 civic i had to take it to get a new flang welded on so on my way to the muffler shop i got pulled over for it well after i got done the shop i pulled away I SAW THE SAME COP at gas staion i pulled in and showed him he was very impressed with the quite sound"oh i did not get a ticket from him"i was respectful to him when i got pulled over and did what he said so he let me go...unlike most that make threads and comp-lain about it

 

damn man who pissed you off lately. if thats in regards to me then fuck you, i didnt disrespect the guy that pulled me over I was quiet and he did the talking for the most part and was being an ass for no reason.
