Default Help Me!!!

ok this is my current problem. i have a 91 crx si.i installed a turbo kit a few weeks ago and took it on its first drive today.i know i need a tune but im really low of cash. i know its not smart to chip a pm6. so i will need to convert to obd1 with a jumper harness and a chipped p75 ecu. BUT........ can i use a pr4 and not need a jumper and chip the pr4 instead and still stay obd0?

Actually you CAN stay obd0 and tune the setup you have and be absolutely fine with it...but good luck finding a local tuner to use BRE or Turboedit to tune your stuff. Lucky for me I am pretty good with that stuff and I am tuning my car with Turboedit and everything is working out just fine. I compared turboedit side by side with the freeware version of chrome and there isn't much difference between the two.

P.S. There is no difference between chipping a pm6 or a pr4 because either ecu is going to read the map you install on the new chip.

Yea you can tune obd0 you just need the right ecu editing program, or go piggyback which sucks balls.

so if it sucks why do it??.. just go obd-1 a conversion harness is only gonna run you from 75-150.. you have worked so hard to build your car, why go cheap in the cost of tuning?? tuning is everything..

Chipping them isn't too difficult...I could chip your ecu and burn whatever basemap you would want on it but as for really tuning it you will need a wideband and EGTG or dyno time.

Obd0 tuning doesn't suck balls and it isn't a piggyback. I can pull up a full map with dual map options for boost, launch control, ignition retard under boost, revlimit, injector sizing, map size...and it goes on. I can datalog real time info too. You just either need to know what you are doing with the program or you need to know someone who knows what they are doing with the program.

If you didn't live on the other side of the state I would tune everything for you for a small fee.

Wow people need to learn how to read. I said get the right ecu tuning program(aka turboedit) for his ecu OR get a piggyback (these being the ones that suck balls) get it right
